Drymos is a rather heavy costume worn in a small town north of Thessaloniki. The main dress is red woven with striped decorations. The coat worn over the dress has embroidered decoration on the inside. The design is well known in the area and is called the "Bow of Alexander the Great". When folded back it decorates the back of the costume. The neighbouring village of Liti has an almost identical costume but instead of the coat it has a second overdress. The elaborate headgear is completed with a silver jewelry piece called Sirgouti.
