Join us for fun activities, inspired by our At Home with the World exhibition, from all over the globe! Children can decorate Eastern-style tiles, young people can learn and develop image-editing skills and everyone can get dressed up in costumes and listen to stories and live music from around the world!
See the Greek traditions that inspired the neoclassical style by watching and listening to the Lyra Greek Dance group and Kalamus.
Suitable for all ages: 1.00-1.30pm, 2.30-3.00pm and 4.00-4.30pm
Dress up in costumes and accessories from countries all around the world, have your picture taken and help create an amazing photo montage.
Hear the exciting story behind
the Geffrye’s Ca Mau porcelain, rescued from a shipwreck off Vietnam
after 250 years under the sea.
Suitable for all ages. 12.15pm, 1.45pm and 3.00pm (Lasts approximately
30 minutes)
Be inspired by plates and tiles
from Turkey to Japan and decorate your own tiles to take home.
Suitable for children aged 5+. Drop in anytime from 12.15-1.45pm and
2.45-4.30pm
Work with a professional photographer
to develop your photography and image-editing skills. Photograph yourselves
and museum objects and use hundreds of your own image ‘tiles’
to create a fabulous mosaic using digital software.
Suitable for young people aged 13+. 1.00-4.30pm. Please note this workshop

At Home with the World exhibition tour
Join our Young Volunteer Tours Guides for a tour of our Stories of the World: London At Home with the World exhibition and discover more about the exhibition’s key objects and themes.
Suitable for all ages. Tickets are free, but numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 10 minutes before the tour begins. Tours start at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

Quizzical quizzes, a feely box full of mystery objects from around the world and activity packs for the under 5s.

anytime from 12.30-4.30pm. This event and admission to the museum are
free.
